What is IronMen?
Morning gathering of men where we pray, read the scripture and discuss it. The goal is to get beyond the shallow talk of sports, cars and the weather and to focus on the truth of Jesus and how it can be applied in their lives. IronMen is intended to be challenging and encouraging – Iron Sharpening Iron. Our hope is that IronMen will be catalytic for other meeting like lunches, coffees and such where guys can connect authentically.

Why IronMen?
In 1 Samuel 14 we read a fascinating story of courage, faith and loyalty. Jonathan, King Saul’s son, had grown tired of sitting around and doing nothing about the Philistine (Israel’s enemy) outpost that was nearby. So he got up and said to his armor-bearer, “Come, let’s go over to the outpost of those uncircumcised men. Perhaps the Lord will act in our behalf. Nothing can hinder the Lord from saving, whether by many or by few.” Jonathan was ready to take a step of faith and act courageously. The best part is his armor-bearer’s response: “Do all that you have in mind,” his armor-bearer said. “Go ahead; I am with you heart and soul.” – 1 Samuel 14:7
Every man needs someone like Jonathan’s armor-bearer. Every man needs someone who is with them heart and soul.

When is IronMen?
IronMen will take place early in the morning before most workplace start times. Part of the focus of Ironmen will be strengthening husbands and fathers. Meeting at night often competes with family time and requires the wives and children to bear a heavier load around the house.

Where and how often will IronMen groups meet?
Most IronMen groups will meet at the Sherrill Campus. The groups will meet weekly for 8 weeks, and then take a break.
